Gaming has always been a huge part of my life, especially titles like Street Fighter and Guilty Gear. You might know me from the tournament scene, or from the channel where I document all of it.
The story behind the w1spBox
My journey started with a frustration — I wanted a leverless controller to take my gaming to the next level, but the options available were way too expensive, especially ordering from Europe. Determined to find a solution, I decided to create my own. I experimented with DIY projects, but the costs were still high — building my very first leverless out of a self-made wooden case and components from the US still cost me around 130 euros.
This is when I decided to dive into the world of 3D printing and electronics, and the w1spBox was born — a leverless, professional-grade controller that's both high-quality and affordable.
Our achievements
In the span of 3 months, we've had over 70 sales on platforms like Etsy and earned recognition as a Star Seller. It's been incredibly rewarding to see gamers enjoying our products and achieving their full potential.
Where things stand today
The w1spBox line now ships from a proper workshop in Almere, hand-assembled and tested one at a time — the same sticks I bring to my own Street Fighter 6 tournaments. Alongside the hardware, I run a YouTube channel about storytelling in games and the SF6 grind, and I'm slowly building a 2D platformer on the side.
The mission
My passion for fighting games really ignited once I clicked with my first leverless controller — this is why I want everyone in the fighting game community to have access to professional-grade controllers and accessories, without breaking the bank.
What else I'm building
Alongside the sticks, I'm developing Jump on the Boss, a 2D platformer (wishlist it on Steam), and I've already shipped Coach Clem, a sports coaching app on the Play Store. Different worlds, same maker.
